Eperan Polyethylene

1.5pcf Polyethylene

Eperan 1.5pcf polyethylene foam is a strong, resilient, linear low-density closed cell foam. It is most often used as a component material in products requiring a shock absorbing, vibration dampening, insulating barrier or buoyancy component, and as a material for cushioning in packaging applications where superior mechanical performance is a must.

Eperan 1.5pcf polyethylene has superior surface protection qualities and chemical resistance. The soft texture and durable elasticity will not scratch most painted surfaces, glass and/or finished Many applications such as case inserts and chemically resistant dunnage trays utilize this unique product.

Due to the linear low-density composition of Eperan 1.5 polyethylene, it can be used in an integrated hinge design when die cutting without the need for an additional high-density layer to create the hinge. This particular design reduces fabrication and installation time as well as storage and shipping costs. The molded properties of this foam yield the same compressive characteristics in all directions resulting in excellent multi-directional energy absorption.

Eperan 1.5 polyethylene contains no CFC’s or HCFC’s and is fully recyclable. Eperan contains no residual blowing agents, which result in no flammable off-gassing and superior dimensional stability over a wide range of temperatures. Due to the absence of flammable off-gassing this product meets all military criteria for class 2, grade A, type I under the specification PPP-C-1752D and class 1, type I under the newer military specification CID A-A-59136.

1.9 pcf Polyethylene

Eperan brand 1.9 pcf polyethylene foam is a strong, resilient, chemically resistant, low density, closed cell foam. It is typically utilized as a component material in applications requiring shock absorption, vibration dampening, insulation barrier, and as a material for cushioning components in packaging where superior mechanical performance is a must.

Eperan 1.9 polyethylene is suitable for many applications including packaging, automotive, military, flotation, recreation and construction. The buoyancy properties of 1.9PE allow it to be used in many flotation applications. Eperan 1.9 polyethylene has superior surface protection qualities and chemical resistance. The soft texture and durable elasticity will not scratch painted surfaces, glass, and finished metals, and is used with many “class ‘A’ finish” applications. Due to the linear low-density composition of Eperan polyethylene it can be used in an integrated hinge design when die cutting without the need for an additional high-density layer to create the hinge. This particular design reduces fabrication
and installation time as well as storage and shipping costs.

The molded properties of this foam result in a high compressive strength, which, unlike extruded foams, is uniform in all directions resulting in excellent multi-directional energy absorption. Eperan 1.9 polyethylene contains no CFC’s or HCFC’s and is fully recyclable. Furthermore, Eperan polyethylene contains no residual blowing agents, which result in no hazardous flammable off gassing. and it exhibits superior dimensional stability over a wide range of temperatures.

2.8pcf Polyethylene

Eperan brand 2.8 pcf polyethylene foam is the strongest, most resilient, linear low-density closed cell polyethylene foam in the Eperan line. It is typically used as a component material in products requiring a high level of shock absorbing and vibration dampening. It is also widely used as a material for cushioning components in packaging applications where superior mechanical performance is a must

Eperan 2.8pcf polyethylene has superior surface protection qualities and chemical resistance. The soft texture and durable elasticity will not scratch most finishes, including painted surfaces, glass and finished metals. Many applications such as case inserts, returnable shipping containers, and chemically resistant dunnage trays utilize this unique product.

The molded properties of this foam yield the same compressive characteristics in all directions resulting in excellent multidirectional energy absorption.

Eperan 2.8pcf polyethylene contains no CFC’s or HCFC’s and is fully recyclable. Eperan contains no residual blowing agents, which results in superior dimensional stability over a wide range of temperatures. Due to the absence of flammable off-gassing this product meets all military criteria for class 2, grade A, type III under the specification PPP-C-1752D and class 1, grade A, type III under the newer military specification CID A-A-59136.
