Eperan™Specifications

EPERAN | CROSSLINK | POLYETHYLENE

The market that too often demands the superlative - more, greater, bigger, faster - increasingly asks for less. EPERAN™ plank products, used to create everything from automobile parts to sports equipment, offer the fabricator and designer decidedly less - less cost, less space and less weight. EPERAN™ products effectively reduce cushioning dimensions, which makes excessive damage protection unnecessary and results in lower shipping costs. Most jobs that call for plank material require less EPERAN™ than other comparable products.

EPERAN™ brand products represent a complete product line of polyethylene and polypropylene molded plank form. Use EPERAN™ plank to design your product for higher quality, better cushioning and lower costs.

Environmentally Friendly

EPERAN™ products are reusable and recyclable. Environmentally friendly EPERAN™ brand products are produced with a non-CFC, non-HCFC blowing agent that is fully recaptured. These products contain no ozone depleting materials and do not produce a flammable atmosphere in shipping, storage or use.

Product Forms and Sizes

EPERAN™ brand products are available in polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) forms in various densities, thicknesses and plank sizes. EPERAN™ PP can be found in densities of 1.3, 1.9, and 2.8 pounds per cubic foot (PCF). Similarly, EPERAN™PE is available in densities of 1.5, 1.9, and 2.8 PCF. Both EPERAN™ PE and EPERAN™PP plank are available in black or white. In addition, EPERAN™ PE offers a white anti-static grade.

EPERAN™ ADVANTAGES

  •  Higher static loading limits
  • Exceptional elasticity, resilience and impact strength
  • Superior surface protection and abrasion resistance
  • Greater compressive strength
  • Good dimensional stability and thermal properties
  •  Excellent chemical resistance
  • Very good moisture and weather resistance
  • Easy to fabricate into various shapes and sizes, including self hinges
  • Excellent multi-directional energy absorption

Abrasion Resistance and Superior Protection

EPERAN™ plank is a soft, elastic, semi-rigid foam that will not scratch the surface of even the most delicate materials. The planks' impact strength, resilience and energy absorption properties provide superior protection, with no directional restrictions. As an example, EPERAN PE is used in the automotive industry to protect "class A" finished goods.

While EPERAN™ brand products are gentle to the items they protect, they are also tough and resilient to a variety of environmental hazards - including heat, water and a wide range of chemicals. EPERAN™ products exhibit good heat insulation properties and maintain excellent dimensional stability and temperature resistance. In addition, the planks' closed cell composition provides superior moisture and chemical resistance.

The Material with Many Uses

EPERAN™ brand products are highly versatile. The military find EPERAN™ plank useful for packaging delicate optics, missile heads and other sensitive electronic equipment because of its fine cushioning and dimensional stability, and because there is no potential for flammable off-gassing, EPERAN™ plank products are also used as packaging for computers and electronics and come in and anti-static grade to protect sensitive electronics.

Uses for EPERAN™ products continue to grow with applications in a variety of industries. The possibilities are as vast as the imagination:

  • Returnable, collapsible totes used by the automotive industry to facilitate material handling and protect delicate parts and finishes
  • Electronics, in the form of returnable and statically dissipative containers
  • Hot food storage containers
  • Toys and floral inserts
  • Sports-padding in treadmills and helmets, bumper pads for boats and loading docks, seating in boats, campers and outdoor stadium seats
  • Recreational applications such as personal water craft, kayaks and various flotation devices
